Invasion and establishment of Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng and its risk appraisal in some areas of Guangxi

By the general survey of pest status of Guangxi in 2003,Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng was found in 14 counties of Baise,Nanning,and Hechi city since invading Guangxi in 1970s.Among the suffered regions,the area of Baise amounts to 127 000 hm~2.In Tianlin,Longlin and Xilin and etc,the general and maximum occurrence density were 38 plants/m~2 and 73 plants/m~2 in hilly barren land,and 38 plants/m~2 and 73 plants/m~2 in the river bank,respectively.By the damage of Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng,Tianlin county sustained 18 % yield loss of corn,9 % loss of rice and 5 % loss of economic forest per year.Domestic animals suffered from disease,cripple and abortion by mistakenly eating Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng,and livestock husbandry suffered 6 % economic loss.
