Studies of intelligent membranes for separation

In recent years, intelligent membrane systems represent a new direction in separation materials. In this paper, various methods for the preparation of intelligent membranes are introduced. Based on their stimuli-responsive properties, the controllable separation behavior and mechanisms of intelligent membranes are reviewed in detail. The characterizations of intelligent membranes are briefly summarized.
