Patent citation network analysis for measuring the ICT patent progress in India

Patent citation network analysis is a useful method of identifying the knowledge flow of a technology from one country, institution or corporate to another. Whereas patent citation analysis involves statistical study of citations; patent citation network analysis involves the study of network and its different aspectsidentical to the parameters applied in the study of social network analysis. In the current research paper we have formed patent citation network from the rough data available for patents. Study focuses on the growth and advancement of ‘Information and Communication technology’ patents in India. The scope of study focuses on patents which are filed in Indian Patent Office by the Indian assignees.
