In recent years, the community has seen an increase in the amount of broadband seismic data available through systems such as the IRIS Data Management Center (IRIS DMC), requiring new approaches to managing and handling large datasets in computationally efficient ways. Many receiver function studies have focused on tectonic and geodynamic questions on regional scales of a few hundred square kilometers (e.g., Zandt et al. 1995;...
