Deciphering the Synergistic Role of Chemisorbed Phosphate on FeOOH for High-Efficiency Overall Water Splitting

An iron-based catalyst was synthesized via a wet-chemical method using inexpensive raw materials. By modifying the electrolyte composition, the properties of the catalyst were systematically tuned, thereby enhancing the efficiency of water splitting.
