Health care today is rapidly becoming a patient-focused environment where emphasis is placed on the professional patient relationship. Communication is a significant component in the relationship and establishing a rapport with the patient is vital. To gain insight regarding student communication apprehension, utilization of communication surveys may be sought. This study will identify the influence of communication apprehension on radiologic technology students and interactions with patients. From the selected radiology programs, results proved students experience higher communication apprehension than other health care personnel. Data was gathered to deter mine the effect of experience on student communication apprehension.
