Abstract This study investigates the density, hardness, and wear behavior of WC-Co-Cr coatings produced by high-velocity air fuel (HVAF) spraying. The results indicate that coating hardness, density, and wear performance are improved by increasing gas velocity and using powders composed of fine CoCr particles.
