ABSTRACT In this study, UiO‐66‐NH 2 /ZnIn 2 S 4 heterojunction composite photocatalysts were prepared by the hydrothermal method. Characterization results indicated that UiO‐66‐NH 2 and ZnIn 2 S 4 formed a tight interface contact, and their crystal structures remained intact after the composite was formed. The photocurrent density of the optimized UiO‐66‐NH 2 /ZnIn 2 S 4 ‐3 catalyst reached 8.87 × 10 −8 mA cm −2 , approximately five times that of pure UiO‐66‐NH 2 . Its charge transfer resistance was only 932 Ω, significantly lower than that of the single components. PHE performance tests showed that exhibited excellent hydrogen evolution activity under visible light (λ>420 nm) irradiation, reaching 798.04 µmol g −1 h −1 , approximately 57 times that of UiO‐66‐NH 2 catalyst. The excellent photocatalytic performance of this composite material is mainly attributed to the well‐matched band structure and tight interface interaction between UiO‐66‐NH 2 and ZnIn 2 S 4 . The heterojunction they form effectively inhibits recombination of photogenerated electron‐hole pairs in the bulk and at the interface, forming an efficient charge separation and directional transport path, while maintaining strong oxidation‐reduction capabilities, significantly enhancing the kinetic efficiency of the PHE reaction. This work presents a feasible strategy for the rational design and precise construction of MOF‐based heterojunction photocatalysts, offering an important reference value for promoting the application of efficient artificial photosynthesis systems in sustainable energy conversion.
