TECHNOLOGY OPTIMIZATION OF EXTRACTING XYLAN FROM CORNCOB BY STEAMING

The paper reported technology optimization of extracting xylan from corncob by steaming.The results showed corncob of 5 mm by crashing was soaked in 0.1 % H2SO4 at 60 ℃ for 12 h,followed by filtrating and steamed 82.5 ℃ for 120 min(100 g corncob in 1 500 mL water).TS was 20.10 % and RS/TS was less than 25.6 %;the yield of xylan obtained was about 31.21 % by steaming.
