Biodegradation of Phenanthrene by Phanerochaete chrysosporium

The change of phenanthrene amounts in co-cultural liquid with BKM-F-1767 strain of Phanerochaete chrysosporium and 10mg/L,50mg/L,100mg/L phenanthrene was measured by HPLC in this paper.It was shown that the efficiency of phenanthrene removal was up to (93～100)% in shaking culture and 85% in static culture. The influence of the culture methods, ratio of culture medium volume and flask volume, and buffer system on phenanthrene removal was discussed.
