Genetic Analysis of Glume-opening Character in Barley(H. vulgare L.) III.The Allelism of Genes and the Interaction of Non-allelic Genes for Glume-opening Character in Barley

The number of genes,the allelism of genes and the interaction of non-allelic genes for glume-opening character were investigated by the F2 and backcross populations from the crosses between 1 glume-closing variety(91-dan-2) and 4 glume-opening varieties(lines)(Hu 1154,1430R,99-7122,Yang 0187),and F2 populations from the crosses between 4 glume-opening varieties(lines).At the flowering stage of 2004,the angles of glume-openings for the F2 and backcross populations were measured.The distributions of different glume-opening character in above populations were estimated.The main results were summarized as follows:(1)The glume-opening character for Hu 1154,1430R and Yang 0187 was controlled by one,two and three genes,respectively,and that for 99-7122 was controled by two or three genes.The interaction of non-allelic genes for Yang 0187 was duplicate effect.(2)There was a better allelic glume-opening gene in Hu 1154 and Yang 0187,but glume-opening gene in 1430R and 99-7122 was non-allelic to that in other varieties.(3) The glume-opening character was controlled by major gene,and decorated by polygene,glume-closing was dominant to glume-opening.
