Atrophic rash on the trunk

Atrophying pityriasis versicolor is an unusual presentation of pityriasis versicolor that can be misdiagnosed. Clinicians should be aware of this rare presentation. The clinical presentation, mycological tests and histopathological examinations of the patient were highly indicative of atrophying pityriasis versicolor.
