A new synthesis process of dimethylformamide from chlorinated oil and dimethylamine was studied.The process conditions were optimized by orthogonal experiments,and the obtained optimum process conditions were as follows:the reaction temperature was 50 ℃,the feed time was 30 minutes,the holding time was 30 minutes,and the excess amount of dimethylamine was 5%.Under this condition,the yield of dimethylformamide was 93.3%.
