Experimental study on the castability of two kinds of low-golden dental casting alloys

Objective:To investigate the castability of two kinds of low-golden casting alloys (BS-1 golden alloy and BS-1 silver alloy).Methods:The castability of two kinds of alloys was direct- ly calculated by using polypropylene.The effects of two casting methods and two kinds of alloys on the castability were compared.Results:The castability values of both BS-1 golden alloy and BS-1 silver alloy were over 95%.There was no significant difference between F-1 investment and F-2 investment or BS-1 golden alloy and BS-1 silver alloy(P0.05).The two casting methods had no effect on the castability.Conclusion:BS-1 golden alloy and BS-1 silver alloy have a high castability,and both the investing method and the casting method have no effect on the castability.
