Effect of Cisapride on Postoperative Colonic Peristalsis in 38 Cases

Objective To observe the effect of Cisapride on postoperative colonic peristalsis. Methods Patients were given Cisapride after colonectal surgery,observe the time of patients' first bowel movement,time of advancement to regular diet and time of hospitalization.Results The time of first bowel movement,advanement of diet and hospital discharge was less in Cisapride group than the control group (P0.05). Conclusion Cisapride can promote the postoperative bowel motility.Cisapride should be added as adjunct treatment in postoperative caner after colonectal surgery.
