Improvement Progress on the Phenomenon of Necking in Polymer Stretching Process

The necking behaviour in polymer stretching process is reviewed.The common contents studied on necking behaviour,dynamics of necking instabilities and constitutive theory are investigated thoroughly. Moreover,the suppression of necking behaviour in polymer stretching process is introduced and the study topics in the future regarding necking behaviour are proposed.
