SYNTHESIS OF MODIFIED ACRYLATE EMULSION

Silicone modified polyacrylate emulsion is prepared by copolymerization of the pre_emulsified octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane D 4 and multicomponent acrylate. The best quality emulsion is obtained when the dosage of D 4 is 9.8%. The comprehensive behaviour of the modified emulsion is better than that of the unmodified. And the primary experiment shows that when applied to wool finishing, modified acrylate emulsion has better anti-pilling effect.
