Progress in synthesis of polycarbonate diols via transesterification

Latest researches on synthesis of polycarbonate diols via transesterification were reviewed.By comparison of dimethyl carbonate,diethyl carbonate,ethylene carbonate and diphenyl carbonate used in synthesis of polycarbonate diols,it was founded that preparation of polycarbonate diols with diphenyl carbonate and diol was the most suitable route for commercialization.The catalytic properties of alkali metal compounds,organometallic compounds,organic amines,Mg/Al hydrotalcite,supported catalyst and enzyme were discussed.
