Land station and mobile station equipment for a cellular system application

The FCC has opened a new area of mobile telephone service with the allocation of the 800 MHz band for cellular mobile phone service. A joint effort by General Electric and Northern Telecom has resulted in a unique cellular mobile phone system. This paper discusses the land station and mobile portion of the system developed by General Electric.
