A metal and base free synthesis of primary amines has been developed at ambient temperature throughipsoamination of diversely functionalized organoboronic acids, employing a combination of [bis(trifluoroacetoxy)iodo]benzene (PIFA)–N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) and methoxyamine hydrochloride as the aminating reagent.
