摘要
Full circle: Cyclic main-chain phenylazo naphthalene polymers were prepared by “click” chemistry. The properties of the cyclic polymers, such as photoisomerization behavior, glass transition temperature (Tg), fluorescence emission, fluorescence lifetime, photoinduced surface relief grating (SRG), and birefringence were investigated and compared with the linear analogues. The cyclic polymers displayed the enhanced properties. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”.
