The observation of the Nissl bodies of neuron of spinal ganglion

Objective:To observe the Nissl bodies shape and structure in rabbit spinal ganglion (C1～L7). Methods:The double-compound staining dyes composed of brilliant cresyl violet,toluidine blue,thionin,Orange G and phosphotungstic acid (BTT-OP) were used. Results:The Nissl body of the small neuron presented fine-grain shape. The large and medium neuron presented three kinds:the Nissl body presented the block shape and were concentric circles around the nuclear. The Nissl body presented the block shape and were uniform distribution around the nuclear,the Nissl body presented fine-grain shape. Conclusion:It shows clearly the Nissl bodies shape and structure in rabbit spinal ganglion by BTT-OP methods. This result provides the shape of the Nissl body of the small neuron、the large and the medium neuron are different.
