High Temperature Raman Spectroscopic Study of Titania and Its Phase Transformation

Raman spectra of anatase and rutile crystal phases of titania at ambient and high temperatures up to 1923 K were measured. Phase transition from anatase to rutile phase at temperature range of 1373～1473 K was observed. Temperature dependence of the characteristics of their Raman peaks was analysised. It offers experimental basis for research, manufacturing and applications of various crystal types of titania.
