摘要
Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau is the highest and the youngest one in the world. It strongly affects the climatic shift in the north hemisphere. Holocene is most closely related to human evolution and human civilization. This paper deals with the study results of Chinese scientists on the Holocene climate fluctuations in the Tibetan Plateau. Holocene megathermal event began at about 10kaBP. The maximum megathermal stage took place about 7~6kaBP. During the megathermal phase, vegetation and forest extended, peat formed, lake ascended, the summer monsoon strengthened. At about 5kaBP, the climate changed from warm-humid to cold-dry.
