Synthesis and Characterization of Zeolite MCM-22

Zeolite MCM-22 was prepared by dynamic hydrothermal synthesis.The upper suspension of the mother liquor was used in synthesis of the next batch of zeolite MCM-22.The products were characterized by means of XRD and TEM.The results showed that the crystallinity of the synthesized zeolite was high and the morphology of the crystal particles was irregular hexagon,with 30 nm in thickness and 50-300 nm in diameter.A large number of nano-MCM-22 particles in the suspension played an important role of crystal seeds in the hydrothermal synthesis,which could reduce the template dosage.
