Based on the Voronoi random model for closed-cell foam, the effects of model irregularity, relative density and non-uniformity of cell wall thickness on anisotropic elastic properties of closed-cell foams were investigated. The results obtained was compared with theoretical predicted results and experimental values. Results indicate when the shape of models are the same, the relative density has a small effect on the Poisson′s ratio and elastic modulus anisotropy ratio, the random cell wall thickness has a reducing effect on the anisotropic elastic modulus, but the effects on the Poisson′s ratio and elastic modulus anisotropy ratio is very small;the random level of the foam shape has a reducing effect on the elastic modulus,Poisson′s ratio and elastic modulus anisotropy ratio.
