Research of Fluid Field in Rare Earth Oxide Electrolysis Cell

A mathematical model of fluid field in rare earth electrolysis cell was built. The fluid field was calculated by SIMPLE method. On the basis of result, the electrolysis cell can be divided into four zones-between positive pole and negative pole, positive and electrolysis cell, down of pole and up of metal receiver, inner of metal receiver. The elements that influence the electric efficiency and operation of electrolysis cell were found through analysis of the calculate result.
