Extraction and Determination of the Polysaccharide in Radix Codonopsis Lanceolatae from Mount Taishan

Objective: To extract the polysaccharide and measure the content in radix codonopsis lanceolatae from Mount Taishan.Method: The polysaccharide was obtained with the water extraction and alcohol precipitation method,and the polysaccharide content was measured with the phenolsulphuric acid method.Result: The polysaccharide content in Radix codonopsis lanceolatae was 12.45%,the rate of recovery was 99.12%,and RSD was 1.49%(n=4).Conclusion: Radix codonopsis lanceolatae from Mount Taishan contains plentiful polysaccharide,and it has much economic value.
