Studies on HPLC Fingerprints of Phellodendron Chinense from Different Origins

Objective:To establish the fingerprints of Phellodendron chinense from different origins with the high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)technology.Method:The HPLC method was used,chromatography condition were DiamonsilTM C18(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)column,acetonitrile(A)-0.2%phosphric acid system as mobile phase,0-5 min:A 5%→13%;5-20 min:A 13%→15%;20-25 min:A 15%→18%;25-40 min:A 18%→40%;40-55 min:A 40%→50%;55-65 min:A 50%→100%;flow rate 0.8 ml/min and column temperature 25℃.Result:The HPLC fingerprints of Phellodendron chinense from different origins were established and the correlation coefficients of each were calculated.Furthermore,three peaks in HPLC chromatogram were identified as jatrorrhizine,palmatine and berberine respectively.Conclusion:The method is simple,reproducible and can be used as a quality control for Phellodendron chinense.
