Abstract Computer‐supported collaborative learning (CSCL) presents technological systems constructed to support learning according to a set of theories that sees knowledge as social and arrived at collaboratively, through interaction. In consequence, it represents the learning component in a broader set of communication theories related to digital networks, and also serves to inform the understanding of collaborative structures more broadly.
