Abstract The complex formation of Na + , K + , Rb + , Cs + , Ag + , Ca 2+ , Sr 2+ , Ba 2+ , and Pb 2+ with aza crown ethers (Ia), cryptands (IIa) and (IIc) and the dilactam analogues (Ib), (IIb) and (IId) of both ligands is studied in MeOH and MeCN at 25 °C by means of calorimetric and potentiometric titrations.
