Sepsis: an overview of the signs, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and pathophysiology

Sepsis is a common phenomenon surrounded by uncertainty and misunderstanding. The urgency for treatment is complicated by the vagueness of signs and symptoms and lack of a conclusive diagnostic test.
