Susceptibiliy of the housefly to several synthetic insecticides in Nepal

Houseflies collected from six places in Nepal in August 1992 and colonized in the laboratory were examined for susceptibility to eight insecticides by a topical application method. Most adult houseflies were more susceptible to the insecticides tested than those of the susceptible strain (Takatsuki). Two pyrethroid insecticides, d-t, allethrin and permethrin, showed low LD-50 values.
