摘要
The need for the development of novel immunosuppressants is highlighted by the restrictions imposed due to the adverse effects of currently available medications. The therapeutic potential of natural products in the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases has been demonstrated in numerous studies. These products, which come from a variety of sources, like fungi, marine life, and plants, have a lot of potential as potent medication candidates for treating these conditions. This chapter examines the various ways that natural products demonstrate their tissue-protective, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory qualities, highlighting their complex modes of action. The limitations imposed by the side effects of currently available medications underscore the need for the development of novel immunosuppressants. Numerous studies have revealed the therapeutic potential of natural products in the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
