From cyclic diaryl λ 3 -bromanes/chloranes to polyfuntionalized biarylsilanes via aryne σ-bonds

The synthesis of biaryl-2′-halo-2-silane derivatives via aryne insertion into the N–Si σ-bond of aminosilanes, followed by cyclization to yield diverse silacycles is described.
