Experimentation of residual stresses of gear strengthened by shot peening

Fatigue carrying capacity of gear is improved by increased residual stresses in surface layer of gear with shot peening.Residual stresses of gear,with and without shot peening,were measured with X-ray analysis methods.Behavior of residual stresses in different position of tooth were analyzed.
