摘要
[Objective] To study the effects of low energy laser irradiation on orthodontic tooth movement.[Methods] The upper right canines were irradiated by low energy laser in 20 malocclusion patients,20 min/week for 4 weeks.The left side was served as control.The distance of canine movement was measured on the model using the vernier caliper on 7th,14 th,21st and 28th day,respectively.All values were statistically analyzed.[Results] The tooth movement of the experiment group was greater than that of the control group(P0.01).[Conclusion] Low energy laser can effectively accelerate orthodontic tooth movement and shorten the course of treatment.
