Since 1950s, the investigation to find the second parameter except the reverberation time, which decides the acoustics of auditorium especially in the concert halls, has not obtained a satisfying result. But the early lateral reflective sound is an important parameter independent of reverberation time, and has a vital role to play in the acoustics design.
