Objective To study the feasibility and efficacy of single-port transumbilical laparoscopic gynecological surgery. Methods In our hospital from January 2011 to August 2012, 97 cases of gynecological surgery were randomly divided into two groups. Group A (n=47) applied single-port transumbilical laparoscopic surgery, group B (n=50) used traditional porous laparoscopic surgery. The operation time, blood loss, postoperative exhaust time and time off the bed, postoperative analgesic usage were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in the operation time, blood loss (P0.05). The anal exhaust time and time off the bed in group A were shorter than those in group B, and the postoperative analgesic use in group A was lower than that in group B, with statistically significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion Single-port transumbilical laparoscopic gynecological surgery is feasible for appropriate cases, with more beautiful and invasive advantages than traditional porous laparoscopic surgery.
