Hair follicle immune privilege and related skin diseases

Immune refers to specific tissues and anatomical structures,by obtaining immune effector cells,provides protection to vital tissues or cells of the body when foreign antigens are introduced into these sites.The bulb and bulge in the out root sheath of anagen hair follicles are considered to be sites of relative immune privilege because of their distinct immune and hormonal microenvironment.The collapse of immune may lead to immune reactions against autoantigens in hair follicles,and cause alopecia areata,primary cicatricial alopecia and other autoimmune diseases.Rebuilding immune may benefit the treatment of these entities.
