Mechanic study of nickel base single crystal (SC) superalloys has been reviewed. The models for crystallographic elastic plastic behavior, creep, fatigue and thermomechanical fatigue and life predictive models have been presented and validated. Experiments have been carried out for the mechanic behavior of SC superalloys at different loading conditions for different crystallographic orientations and temperatures that form the basic data for the validation of the models. Two special programs, SLAPSC and umat for ABAQUS, have been written for the SC blades. Double shear creep specimens and modeling turbine blades have been experimented for model validation. Finally, strength analysis and life prediction of SC turbine blades have been made by the models.
