Study on Measurement of Anterior Maxilla for Adult of Mongolian by Applying Helical CT

Objective:To obtain some data and statistical average of the anterior maxilla for the adult of Mongol minority in Huhhot.The average can provide reliable reference basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:30 Mongolian adults with normal occlusion were selected.The helical CT images(1mm section thickness) of anterior maxilla were obtained.The images were introduced into workstation and were reconstructed by computer software.The slices vertical to the compensating curve were made in every dental of anterior maxilla position and collected the data of bone between anterior maxilla and apertura piriformis.Then the data were analyzed.Results:①The reference ranges of anterior maxilla were got.②There was no significant difference between the data of the left and the right anterior maxilla.③There was difference among men and women of Mongolia of bone of anterior maxilla.Conclusion:①The images that be reconstructed by using MPR were clear and the data that be measured was accurate.②The characteristics of anatomical structures of the anterior maxilla were summarized.The results can provide reliable reference basis for the diagnosis and treatment of the correlated diseases in this region.
