Discussion on the Detection Limit in X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometric Analysis

The detection limit in Xray fluorescence spectrometric analysis was discussed with relative standard deviation and the practical detectable limit. The detection limits obtained by different measurement approaches were calculated on the basis of the relative standard deviations so that they could be compared. The factors that have effects on the detection limits were discussed, which included impurity lines from Xray tubes, instruments, measurement conditions and sample types.
