Experimental Study on Convective Heat Transfer Feature of Fe_3O_4-water Nanofluid

An experimental system was set up to study convective heat transfer feature of the nanofluid flowing in a tube.For the Reynolds 3 000～10 000,the convective heat transfer coefficient of the Fe3O4-water nanofluid with the different volume fraction were obtained.The experimental results show that the convective heat transfer coefficient and the heat transter effect wasenhanced by adding Fe3O4 nanoparticle in water.The main factors influencing the con ective heat transfer coefficient of the nanofluid include the volume fraction of the nanofluid and the thermal conduction coefficient of the nano-particle.
