Recent Progress in the Investigation of Organ Regeneration

Regenerative biology and medicine are the hot fields of biology.As the only mammalian appendages that can fully renewal,deer antler is a novel model for regenerative medicine.Because growth of deer antlers resembles the development of mammalian limbs,much more attention has been directed to the research of antler regeneration in recent years.This review introduces the current situation of organic regeneration,summarizes the research of development of antler regeneration,and predicts the potentiality of antler model for mammalian limb regeneration.
