Objective To investigate the effects of different concentrations of tween 80 on the myocardial contractility of isolated hearts in toads,and provide a guidance for tween 80 as a clinical solubilizer. Methods The different concentrations( 0. 001% ~ 1%) of tween 80 solution were employed to perfusion of isolated toad hearts,and the changes of myocardial contractility on toad hearts were observed and recorded. Results Compared with the normal control group,tween 80 at a concentration of 0. 001%( V / V) had no significant inhibition on myocardial contractility( P 0. 05). And the myocardial contractility was significantly inhibited by the Tween 80 at the concentration of 0. 01% to1%( P 0. 05,P 0. 01,P 0. 001),the reduction of myocardial contractility were 13. 86%,19. 23% or 24. 63%,which appeared in a concentration dependent manner( r =-0. 905). Conclusion Tween 80 less than 0. 001%concentration has no significant inhibition on cardiac,and the myocardial contractility could be inhibited by more than0. 01% tween 80 solution.
