摘要
A uniplanar compact End-fire dipole antenna with a size of 20mm×19mm and height 0.8mm is proposed for 5G applications. An array of a Double Negative (DNG) cells is introduced on the planar antenna structure for a flat gain enhancement of 4 dB throughout the bandwidth(BW) of 4 GHz., i.e., 24–28 GHz. The maximum obtained gain is 9.8 dBi, and maximum efficiency of 92% is achieved after double DNG cells loading. The front-to back-ratio (FTBR) is 20.59 dB and is improved by 9.78 dB due to double DNG cells loading.
