Unveiling urban area growth dynamics: Insights from a comprehensive study of urban area growth curves

We fitted Logistics and Gompertz models to the urban area growth curves of 258 cities in the United States from 1815 to 2015 and assessed their goodness of fit. Among the datasets, "L" represents the logistic model, and "G" represents the Gompertz model.
