Nickel-catalyzed reductive benzylation of tertiary alkyl halides with benzyl chlorides and chloroformates

We report a Ni-catalyzed cross-electrophile coupling of benzyl chlorides and chloroformates with unactivated tertiary alkyl halides to forge the challenging benzylated all C(sp³)-quaternary carbon centers.
