摘要
In this paper, we present an SOI compact photonic filter which consists of a partial microring located inside or outside a microring resonator. The partial microring affects the behavior of the resonator and results in a change in the wavelength response of the device. A change in size or location of the partial microring causes a noticeable alteration in the wavelength response of the resonator. By using this method, we cause a shift of 1.8 nm in the central wavelength of the output resonance, while maintaining a high transmittance, without changing the footprint of the device.
